One thing difficult about have a chronic illness is that you can’t take everything in health/fitness magazines and use it in your own life. Magazines are for healthy women, not chronic illness survivors. It took me a very long time to realize this.
I absolutely love reading magazines. I read Self, Fitness. Women’s health, Real simple. Glamour etc. I have taken a lot advice from these magazines.
I had to keep telling myself that I am now different. I’m not like the average woman. You can’t tell me “when you’re tired, sleep.” Because that just does not work. It’s not that easy.
Why isn’t there a magazine out there just like regular magazines but specialized for chronic illness sufferers?
This is one of my favorite blog/chronic illness websites. The founder, Jenni Prokopy,
did a wonderful thing by starting this website for young women dealing with a chronic illness.
Trust me, you’re gonna want to spend a lot of time on this website!
